A theme park for children aged 2 to 12

LEGOLAND Japan is an outdoor theme park at Kinjo Pier in Minato Ward, Nagoya, which opened in 2017. Its theme is the world of LEGO toy bricks.

It is aimed mainly at children aged 2 to 12 and their families. The park uses about 17 million LEGO bricks and about 10,000 LEGO models, and its eight areas hold more than 40 rides, shows, restaurants and shops.

Miniland: Japan built in LEGO

One of the highlights is Miniland, where streetscapes and landmarks from all over Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya, are recreated entirely in LEGO bricks. There is a Nagoya Castle about 2m tall and Shibuya's famous scramble crossing, and it is fun to wander around spotting all the tiny details.

On the same site are the LEGOLAND Japan Hotel, with LEGO-themed rooms, and the SEA LIFE Nagoya aquarium.

Getting there

From Nagoya Station, take the Aonami Line to the last stop, Kinjofuto Station, then walk for about 10 minutes. By car, Meiko-Chuo IC on the Isewangan Expressway is nearby.

Tips

  • The park has closed days, so always check on the official website that it is open on the day you plan to go.
  • There are Halloween events in autumn and Christmas events in winter, and events for both seasons have been announced for 2026 too.
  • The hotel and the SEA LIFE Nagoya aquarium are on the same site, so you can plan an overnight trip to see everything.
